Miss Russian California Beauty Contest

Slavic women are known around the world for their beauty, strong spirit and refined sense of style. It has already become a tradition for American bachelors to travel to Russia, in a search for a perfect bride. Perhaps the time has come to realize that there is no need to go so far, as the russian-speaking community of Sacramento has plenty of beauty literally next door.

It must be noted that these days an American Prince has to try his best to win the heart of a Slavic lady. Many of these young women put their dreams and careers ahead of marriage, and when they do think of getting married they look for someone who is fully committed to become perfect husband and father. In the spirit of “Best of the Best’ celebration, Russian-American Media has organized a Beauty Contest to find the most attractive and talented young ladies in our community.

Throughout the year, we received hundreds submissions and invited 15 girls to participate in the contest. In this case, pictures speak better than words. Look at these happy, excited faces, notice how much fun the girls were having doing the show. For many of them it was the fi rst time, appearing on podium, wearing designer’s dresses, expressing their talent and receiving sincere appreciation from the audience.
