Sergey Ivannikov is a Founder & CEO of Russian American Media, Inc — one of the largest media companies serving Russian—Speaking community, and one of the renowned names among Slavic immigrants.
Inspired by the numerous opportunities offered by this great country Sergey spends the next few years on the College bench in the morning and at the desk of his small business in the afternoon.
After receiving his second degree in computer engineering Sergey already operates the first and only digital print shop serving local Slavic businesses of Sacramento. Without experience in publishing he came out with a first Slavic business phone directory and a Russian-language newspaper. The two products quickly become interaction tools that keep people in touch with the world, culture, and each other. Thirteen years later the small digital print shop becomes one of the largest full spectrum advertising and media sources of the Russian-speaking community, and organizing center of community events.
Far exceeding a traditional image of a media holder Mr. Ivannikov is well known for his continuous input into the prosperity of the local ethnic communities. Using his multiple media resources Sergey connects local immigrants from the former Soviet Republics with each other and with their American neighbors. As a coordinator of various community events and affairs Sergey helps Slavic people share their cultural heritage and integrate into the vibrant American culture. Sergey’s perspective is to endorse ethnic differences as vibrant enhancements of our society rather than its dividing walls.
